Film: It is about the translation of ideas - through cinematic means. It is not about the creation of illusions.
Neubert lives in Basel. He studied Psychology and directing. He has published several books and films as Author, Director and Producer. He was project manager for the Walter Felsenstein special edition, which won the special award of the German Record Critics Prize, in 2008.
In 2010 he directed Hunter’s Bride, a film-opera based on the Opera “Der Freischütz”, which was invited to several festivals including Vancouver, Sao Paulo,
and was nominated for the Montreal World Film Festival - World Greatest Films.
Neubert’s film Winterthur Composes an Opera was invited to Hot Docs, Toronto, in 2013. The Zurich Liaison - Wagner’s One and Only Love was invited to the 22nd Shanghai Film Festival in 2019.
